Spiritual Language of Art:NONOBJECTIVE COMPOSITIONJanuary 30-February 5, 2009 Tuition:
$975 Artist-participant Cathryn Hayden-Cooper developing a "rhythmic composition." Join us for an exciting
and challenging introduction to the language of non-objective design
(abstract composition). Explores what art can say IN ADDITION TO
OR APART FROM its traditional purposes of describing external appearances,
telling literary narratives, and expressing specific and pre-determined
emotions. Develop your understanding of what nonobjective
compositions mean, and how and why they work. While the majority
of hands-on challenges are executed in painting, drawing, and collage,
this workshop is neither media not technique specific, and no technical
expertise is required. Features regular intgeractive discussion
and critique.

Spiritual Language of Art:DIRECTED INDIVIDUAL STUDYFebruary 9-15 , 2009 Tuition:
$975
Artist-participant Beverly Munchel-Kievit at work. Join
artist-author-instructor Steve Aimone and a group of your peers
in pursuing week-long independent projects. Within general guidelines
that unify the group, YOU SET THE AGENDA. You begin by forming an
informal contract outlining what you wish to explore during the
session. Artists share their agendas with one another and work cooperatively
during the session to help one another succeed. Steve will furnish
intensive art coaching, working extensively on a one-on-one basis
with each artist. You'll take part in regular interactive critiques
and discussions designed to increase artistic self-awareness
and the ability to articulate about your work. Don't miss out on
